St. Francois County Rollover Wreck Injures Woman

(St. Francois County, MO) A woman from Ironton, 58 year old Martha C. Pegues is suffering serious injuries after she was thrown from an SUV during a rollover wreck in St. Francois County Sunday evening. Highway patrol reports indicate the SUV was being driven north on Route N, south of King's School Road, at 6:35, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road. The Driver, 44 year old Shane A. Schultz, overcorrected and the SUV ran off the left side of the highway. Schultz overcorrected again and the vehicle ran off the right side of the road for a second time and rolled over, throwing Pegues out. She was not wearing her seat belt when the wreck occurred. Pegues was taken to Iron County Memorial Hospital.
