St. Francois County Saturday Crash

(St. Francois County, MO) A man from DeSoto, 67 year old Robert L. Wideman, and a man from Normal, Illinois, 61 year old David M. Jacobs, are recovering from moderate injuries after a two vehicle crash in St. Francois County Saturday afternoon at 2:50. According to Troopers with the Highway Patrol the crash took place at the intersection of Highway 67 and Y when an SUV driven west by Wideman pulled into the path of another  SUV which was driven north on 67 by Jacobs. The two vehicles collided and Jacobs vehicle ran off the left side of the road, hit two signs, and came to rest in the southbound lanes of Highway 67. Both men were taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. They were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
