St. Francois County Sunday Wreck

(St. Francois County, MO) An Ironton man, 64 year old John W. Golden, is recovering from moderate injuries after a Sunday afternoon traffic accident in St. Francois County. Highway Patrol reports indicate a pick up truck, driven south on Highway N, south of Trap Rock Road by 66 year old Kenneth J. Rieger of Lee Summit, began to slide off the right side of the road at 3 o'clock. Rieger overcorrected and the truck returned to the road striking an SUV driven north by 64 year old John W. Golden of Ironton. Rieger's pick up continued heading south and rolled over while Golden's vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a tree. Golden was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis.  Rieger was not injured.
