St. Francois County Traffic Accident

(St. Francois County, MO) A woman from Mountain View, Missouri, 73 year old Juanita S. Joyner, is recovering from moderate injuries after a two vehicle wreck in St. Francois County Tuesday morning. Highway Patrol reports show a pick was being driven south on Highway 67, near Berry Road, by 70 year old Anthony W. Joyner of Mountain View. At the same time an SUV was traveling north driven by 72 year old Thomas S. Wilson, of French Village. Wilson's vehicle failed to yield to southbound traffic. When Joyner tried to avoid a collision with Wilson his truck hit the front of Wilson's vehicle sending it into a spin. It blocked both southbound lanes when it stopped. Joyner's truck skidded and ran off the left side of the highway and then back onto the road before it came to a stop. Juanita Joyner, a passenger in the pick up, was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Wilson, and Anthony Joyner, were not injured. The accident took place about 10:15 am.
