Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Fredericktown Police officers have successfully recovered a stolen vehicle, thanks to collaboration with regional law enforcement and advanced technology.
On December 16, 2024, the Fredericktown Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers acted swiftly, collecting information from the victim and relaying it to Madison County Dispatch. The stolen vehicle was immediately entered into the national database.
The Cape Girardeau County FLOCK camera system, which tracks vehicle movements, detected the stolen vehicle within Cape Girardeau County. Deputies quickly responded, locating and recovering the vehicle. During the recovery, a stolen firearm was also discovered.
Authorities took a juvenile male into custody in connection with the theft. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
