Summer Heat Can Be Dangerous

(Park Hills, MO) Health officials at the St. Francois County Health Center remind you to take proper steps to stay cool as the summer months roll around and the temperatures increase. An Environmental Public Health Specialist and Public Heath Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, Don Kleinberg, says heat related injuries are extremely series.

Kleinberg adds, the heat is more dangerous for the very young and elderly.

Kleinberg stresses the importance of drinking plenty of water, limit activity in the sun, find shade and wear lighter colors.
