Tax Day is Here

(Washington, DC.) Today is Tax Day! IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel says he’s been pretty impressed with how smooth this season has been.

And, if you did wait until the very last day, the IRS has a new system to file that’s easy and free.

It's a new way for taxpayers to file taxes online. Direct with the IRS, and Werfel says the process to file should be easy.

If you can't get them done by midnight tonight though, you can file an extension but be prepared to pay a penalty and interest.
