The April 2023 Elections Unofficial Results

(St. Francois County, MO) Now that Tuesday's April General Municipal Election unofficial results are in a 3% will be levied on all sales of adult use marijuana in the county after the measure won a 68% approval from voters. The same tax was approved in Park Hills, Leadington, and Farmington. In other issues the one half of one percent capital improvements sales tax for the city of Farmington was approved. The tax is an extension of a previous tax and would have a 10 year sunset clause to retire the measure, or put it back on the ballot within a decade. 
The Park Hills Mayor's race was won with 55% of the vote by incumbent candidate Stacey Easter. City contested races in Desloge saw Dave Shaw lose the race for Mayor to Pete Pasternak while Travis Crews defeated Russell Kester in a close race for Ward III Alderman. The unofficial election results show that race is separated by 6 votes. Leadwood voters placed Robert Crump into the Mayor's position and Anna Woods defeated Charles Lewis for the Ward I seat while Richard Dickie Davis topped John Vickers in Ward II. Leadington Voters elected Steve Kinsey and Andrew Young as Aldermen over Greg Dickinson for two Aldermanic seats.
For Sub District #1 with St. Francois County's 911 board Steve Young was elected as Director over Terry Leutkemeyer and Camille Nations and Chris Hulsey were won their races for a position on the Mineral Area College Board of Trustees.
School board races Tuesday had Mark L. Hedrick, Sally Colwell, and Michale Barton III elected to the Bismarck School Board. Farmington school district voters elected Angela Hahn, Howard A. Hoehn, and Jerry Freeman to the school district's board of education. In the Potosi Schools district Dallas Thompson, John Hunter Belfield, and Angella Marie King were approved by voters to be members of the school board. Voting patrons of the West County Schools elected Byron Pratt, Ryan Kyle Becker, and Christopher Ray Lashley to the board.
