Update Charges Filed After Juvenile Struck

(Potosi, MO) A bond reduction hearing is set for September 27th for Joseph William Doss after he was arrested for allegedly striking a 12 year old juvenile with his pick up, seriously inuring him, last Friday in Potosi. According to reports Doss is said to have struck the child at the intersection of South Main and West Jefferson Streets. A video of the incident shows Doss's vehicle leaving the scene after the child was hit and knocked into a ditch. Doss, is facing charges of Assault in the Second Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Leaving the Scene of  Motor Vehicle Accident, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the Second Degree. Doss is being held in the Washington County Jail with a bond of $60,000. It's reported Doss smelled of alcohol when he was interviewed by police. He has previous DWI convictions.
