Uplift Shelter New Space for Children

(Farmington, MO) The Michael F. Neidorff Journey of Hope Bright Spaces children's area of the Farmington Uplift Overnight Shelter is officially open after a special grand opening Friday. Members of the Centene Corporation's Superior Children's Center group donated time, talent, and funds to make the new children's space a reality. Superior Children's Center Director, Nicki Ballew, says it's important for an organization like the shelter to offer spaces for kids to be kids.

According to Ballew the idea is to give kids of all ages the time to focus on everything from school work to reading, watching tv, or using a gaming system. The space was put together by the Superior Children's center and Bright Horizons with the help of the Centene Center.
