Valles Mines Man Seriously Injured in Accident

(Valles Mines, MO) A Valles Mines man, 60 year old Thomas A. Lato, was seriously injured in a two vehicle accident on Highway 67 at Highway Y, Saturday evening at 7:15 p.m. According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Dodge truck driven by 86 year old Barbara M. Regna turned onto Highway 67 from Highway Y in the path of Lato’s Jeep Wrangler, and was hit. Lato was taken to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. Regna was not injured. The Jeep was listed as totaled, however the Dodge received moderate damage. Lato was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
