Veterans Honored and a Legislative Preview

(Desloge, MO) Members of the Desloge Chamber of Commerce are being asked to honor our veterans as Veterans Day approaches. The holiday was the focus of the Desloge Chamber of Commerce meeting held Tuesday. A Board Member of the National POW MIA Museum at Jefferson Barracks, Stephanie Roesslein, (ROSE'-linn) was one of the featured speakers for the Luncheon. Roesslein told the crowd they hope to open the museum in 2023 and they have interesting items to help remember our POW and MIA veterans.

State Representative Mike Henderson also spoke at the Desloge Chamber meeting. Henderson gave a legislative preview of what will be discussed at the next session saying legislators need to come up with a way to license video lottery terminals, and tax them, plus monitor online gambling.

Henderson also said besides gambling, federal money coming to the state, election reform, and tax credits are also set to be legislative topics in the next session. The business spotlight from the chamber was focused on The Lincoln Street Event Center at Wednesday's Desloge Chamber of Commerce meeting.
