Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Potosi Lady Trojans pulled off a 14-point comeback to win their third straight game, defeating Farmington 47-44.
From the outset, it looked as if Farmington (10-7, 1-2) had Potosi (15-2, 3-0) figured out. The Knights easily broke the Lady Trojans' full-court press and stumped them on the other end of the floor, eventually taking a 29-19 leading by halftime.
After Farmington increased that lead to 14 at 35-21 midway through the 3rd, Potosi started to turn things around. Turnovers led to points, and soon, Potosi was back within single digits entering the 4th.
Potosi continued their efforts in the final quarter, and finally, trailing 39-37 in the 4th, Potosi freshman Chloe Rowe hit her second 3-pointer of the quarter to put Potosi on top. That was a lead they'd never give up. Farmington had the final shot of the game, but Kate Jenkerson's 25-foot heave to tie fell off the right side of the rim, giving Potosi the win.
Potosi's Aniston Mapes led the Lady Trojans in scoring with 18, while Rowe finished with 13, including three 3-pointers in the final quarter. Jenkerson led Farmington with 21.
