St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - Four former St. Louis Cardinals have been nominated for possible induction into the Cardinals Hall of Fame.
Steve Carlton, George Hendrick, Brian Jordan, and Édgar Rentería have been chosen by the Cardinals for possible induction following a fan vote. These four are a part of the "modern" selection pool, having retired less than 40 years ago. The player with the most votes will be selected for this year's class, along with a "veteran" selection by the Red Ribbon Committee and a Cardinals organization selection.
Voting began Saturday. Fans can cast their ballot at cardinals.com/HOF. The voting period ends April 18th, with the induction being held later this season on September 6th.
