Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Desloge Board of Alderpersons convened Monday for a special meeting and work session, addressing key city business and proposed changes to municipal codes.
During the meeting, the board approved an ordinance authorizing the City Administrator to execute a contract with Spire Missouri Inc. for the conveyance of an easement off South School Street.
The work session focused on reviewing changes to the recodification ordinance, initially submitted for board approval in January. One significant point of contention was the proposal to consolidate the roles of City Clerk, City Collector, and City Treasurer into a single position, a change opposed by Mayor Pete Pasternak.
Additionally, the board discussed updates to city codes, with input from both the alderpersons and Mayor Pasternak. These proposed adjustments will now be reviewed by the City’s attorney and code writer before further board consideration.
