Two Suspects Jailed Without Bond After Festus Burglary Arrest

Festus, Mo. (KFMO) - Two individuals are behind bars at the Jefferson County Jail, being held without bond following their arrest in connection with a burglary on Tuesday, April 9.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects, identified as Cody Kamper and Edwina Sekic, have been charged with one count of Burglary in the First Degree after allegedly breaking into a home in the 1900 block of Old Buck Creek Road in Festus.

The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort between responding deputies and detectives. The suspects were located hiding in a wooded area not far from the scene shortly after the incident. Stolen items from the residence were also recovered nearby.

The investigation continues.
