Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - The Desloge Chamber of Commerce hosted its monthly luncheon on Tuesday, offering attendees the opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for key local positions.
Candidates for Desloge Mayor, the Board of Aldermen, and the North St. Francois County School Board participated, sharing their vision and qualifications for their respective roles. Chamber Executive Director Cheri Henderson noted the strong turnout for the event.
Candidates for the North St. Francois County School Board include Jebo Bullock, Stella Hubbard, and Brian Whitfield.
Running for Desloge Mayor are incumbent Pete Pasternak and challenger Bob Monks.
For the Board of Aldermen, the Ward 1 race features incumbent John Wigger, Keith Propst, and Jaclyn Nipper. In Ward 2, candidates are Rod Crabtree and Joan Kelley. Ward 3 includes incumbent Travis Crews and Ronald Kinney.
Each candidate had the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain why they believe they are the best fit for the position. Henderson emphasized the importance of hosting a "Meet the Candidates" event to keep the community informed and engaged in the local election process.
Additionally, Travis Foshee was sworn in as a new Board of Directors member during the luncheon.
