Multiple Charges After Pursuit

(Bonne Terre, MO) A teenager from Desoto, 18 year old Bradley Pittman, is facing several charges after being accused of fleeing Bonne Terre Police. It's also reported Pittman allegedly almost hit two officers with his automobile. Pittman is charged with two counts of fourth degree assault special victim, resisting stop or detention by fleeing, careless and imprudent driving, exceeding the posted speed limit by 26 mph or more, and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Reports indicate Bonne Terre Police were called to The Benham Street Casey's General Store over a suspicious person. When Pittman was identified it was discovered he was wanted by Desoto Police. When police arrived they pulled up and activated their emergency lights. It's alleged Pittman drove off nearly striking two officers. Police pursued Pittman at speeds of up to 100 mph. Once captured Pittman is said to have told police he ran because he was wanted by Desoto Police. He was booked into the St. FRancpois County jail and made his first court appearance Tuesday.
