Park Hills Water and Sewer Improvement Discussions Continue

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Park Hills city officials are still looking into trimming the amount of funding needed to address the city's sewer and water infrastructure problems.

City Administrator of Park Hills, Zach Franklin, says the initial study attached a price tag of $100 million dollars to address the needed repairs, however the Park Hills Utility committee has been meeting to look at ways of bringing that cost down.

So far administrators have been able to get the cost down to about $50 million, yet Franklin adds they're still working to lower costs further.

Meanwhile, RFQ's, or request for qualifications, are going out to possible contractors in preparation for the work. The Park Hills Water system serves Park Hills and Leadington while the city's sewer system serves Park Hills, Desloge, and Leadington.
