Perry County Crash Injures Several

Perry Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two people from Marquand, 38-year-old Robyn D. Gurley and 34-year-old Jonathan L. Starkey, plus two female juveniles, a 13 and an 8-year-old, are recovering from injuries sustained in a one car crash Wednesday afternoon at 5:10 p.m. in Perry County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Starkey was driving south on Highway 51, south of Perry County Road 712, when the car ran off the left side of the road. It went down an embankment, crashed through a fence, and struck a utility pole.

The two juvenile girls, received minor injuries, and Starkey, received moderate injuries, and were taken to Mercy Hospital Perry. Gurley was seriously injured and flown to St. Louis University Hospital.

The two children were wearing safety devices during the wreck, Starkey and Gurley were not.
