Session Ends with Largest State Budget

(Jefferson City, MO) Missouri State Legislators ended the 2023 Legislative session approving the largest state budget ever passed. The State Representative of the 116th District, Dale Wright, says the budget is large because revenue is up.

Wright adds as a part of the budget Bismarck citizens will see much needed water system improvements after state lawmakers approved $850,000 for the city.

Legislators also passed $2.8 billion to make Interstate 70 three lanes across the and voted to ban minors from getting hormones, puberty blockers, or gender affirming surgeries. Lawmakers also voted to ban transgender student athletes from joining girl's and women's sports teams from kindergarten through college.
