Slow Down Be Prepared for Winter Weather

(Jefferson City, MO) Missouri State Highway Patrolmen are asking you to slow down during our expected winter weather precipitation this week. The Highway Patrol's, Corporal Dallas Thompson, says if you have to drive on any slick roads, how fast you drive is an important factor.

Thompson adds it's important you remember to put together a winter weather kit for your vehicle. Keep extra blankets, bottled water, and packaged foods that are easy to eat, with you in case of travel emergencies. Charging devices for your cell phone, and a flashlight, are good additions to an emergency pack. Thompson explains a bag of some type of grit in your trunk may come in handy in a slippery situation.
