Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash on Missouri 21 in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon injured one person.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at approximately 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, on southbound Missouri 21 just north of Missouri 110. According to the crash report, a 21-year-old Potosi man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic behind a 2020 Nissan NV200 driven by a 32-year-old man from Cadet.
The Nissan came to a stop north of Missouri 110. The driver of the Sonic applied his brakes, but the front of the Chevrolet struck the rear of the Nissan.
The 32-year-old Cadet man suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by the Valle Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Chevrolet Sonic sustained total damage and was towed by Reds Hauling. The Nissan NV200 sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
